It's true. I don't know where the hell it came from, but from the Auburn game on, dude was a beast. He had control of the game. He was accurate and he didn't toss those dumb INTs. Tale of 2 completely different QBs.

As much as I loathe Lane right now, he did say that too much blame was passed on Crompton early in the season. The WRs were very young and 40% of the OLine was filled w/ walk ons. I still feel that Crompton flat out sucked for 3-4 games, but he did turn it around. Even the bowl game blowout saw his WRs let him down w/ a few drops. He was a strength and I could see how he'd make a legit pro. I'm not hyping him just yet, but based on what I saw from him, I wouldn't be shocked if he made it.

I long for the days when Denver can actually use the draft to improve the team, as opposed to filling significant holes they lose after the season due to players not meching with the team or whatever reason.

You can blame someone else on the lack of depth and talent on the team. MAny years ago we would draft a LB on the first day allow we had good to great ones. Al Wilson was about the last player drafted for depth or to seriously upgrade the spot. Since him it has all been filling a huge need on day one.

We do not seem to be anything like where Josh came from where they have the past 8 years or so drafted backups to step in when the rookie contracts ran out and the players got greedy.

Good lord your hate blinds you. You know the majority of our roster is McDaniels boys right? Either his draft picks or his FA's?

Yes. Look at the roster. On a 53 man roster over 30 players were aquired in 09.

By my count it's actually only 53%, but...majority nonetheless. I'm glad to see that.

But...if people would like some of the 2008 players to be here instead (McCree, Manuel, Abdullah, Young, Lowry, Paymah, Koutouvides, Webster, Engleberger, Boss, Crowder, Moss, etc)...then feel free to make your case.

I guess it confuses me that some people are shocked that a new coach would equal alot of changes to the roster...especially considering what we had to begin with.

Id much rather crowder than moss, and crowder over a few others. BUt in all honesty its not like they would get much PT anyway.
