7-9 as we speak before TC and we get a chance to see any talent on any of the teams. May play to 9-7 or 10-6 if all the moons line up just right and NO injuries..

lets do this again before the last preseason game.. that time for real..

There's the biggest difference I'd like to see this year...

    Offhand... I'll say 10-6.

OAK - very weak run defense, suspect QB
    NO - inconsistent RB play
KC - weak OL, suspect QB
MIA - practically an expansion team
    CLE - suspect defense
ATL - suspect QB, coaching overhaul, untested RB
NYJ - suspect QBs, inconsistent RB play
    CAR - inconsistent RB play

From the above teams, we're favoured to win OAK(2x), KC(2x), MIA, ATL, NYJ, and we can compete with NO, CLE, & CAR.

The only really balanced teams on our schedule are NE, SD(2x), JAC, TB, & BUF, and we will be very competitive with BUF, TB, & JAC.

10-6 or 11-5 sounds about right.

    9-7, 10-6, right in there.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

For the pre-training camp prediction, I will go with 10-6. I don't remember going into a season with no real idea of what to expect from the Broncos. I can see them anywhere from 7-9 to 11-5.

The NFL changes so much year to year. I think the Broncos will be much improved, especially on defense, and what Clady can do at LT could have a domino effect on the rest of the line. Is Robertson (sp??) and the young guys ready to produce (marcus thomas, moss) on the line. So, lots of questions.

On the flip side, what type of team will Oak be? Still horrible, or have they turned a corner? How will KC play with nearly 2/3 of their roster new players.

What about ATL and TB. Will TB have Favre at QB?

So, looking at the schedule based on how teams played last year, and considering the improvements I 'expect' to see with the Broncos in '08, I would say:

Worst case is 10-6 (losses to NE, SD, SD, Jax, and two of TB/NO/Car/Buf)

Best case is 13-3 (losses to NE, SD and Jax/TB/NO/Car/Buf)

I think the Broncos will land somewhere in between my best and worse case and I think they will have 11 or 12 wins, based on what appears to be an improved team (I expect the run defense to be much improved, them to give up FAR less than 26.5 points a game, and Cutler to play better than last year) and a fairly easy schedule.

Since this is my 1K post.

I will say Denver goes 10-6 this upcoming season and make the playoffs via wild card.
